WE ARE CONSCIOUS OF OUR IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT

Shorlink is committed to conducting our training in an environmentally responsible manner. We only use SMART Fire Extinguisher technology which simulates dry chemical fire extinguishers which does not impact or harm the environment.

On Site Training

Our training sessions are designed to ensure the safety of your marina and that is why Shorlink is Australia’s only on-site training in emergency response for the marina workplace

Fire Extinguisher Training

he Qld Building Fire Safety Regulations 2008 and the Australian Standards 3745-2010 requires all staff to be trained in first response procedures every 2 year!

The safety of your marina, the boats in it and people is directly related to your workers’ knowledge of fire safety equipment. Our fire extinguisher training is a hands-on course where all participants will be putting out “actual” fires in our professional fire training unit.

We will arrange for all materials and permits (if required) in advance, send one of our marine industry expert trainers to your venue, complete risk assessment and can even tailor the course should this be required.

By the end of this course, participants will be aware of:

  • Why they need to know about fire extinguishers;
  • Types of Fire Extinguishers;
  • Using a Fire Extinguisher - with a real life fire in our controlled equipment for each participant to extinguish;
  • Using a fire blanket;
  • Identifying and understanding a Fire Chart (which will be provided to your Marina)
  • Preparing a report to the responsible person;
  • Safe Disposal of extinguishers; and
  • Inspection and recharge requirements of fire extinguishers.

Your Marina will receive a digital Certificate including all participants details after completion of the course.
