Though prevention is always best, you are also required by law have an ERP in place.

Having a plan in place to respond effectively to an emergency that might occur at an event is a must.

This emergency plan should be in proportion to the level of risk presented and the potential extent and severity of the incident and most importantly bespoke to your Marina and its workers.

Shorlink can develop an ERP based on your marina, its size, layout and equipment that complies with AS 3745-2010. Developing an effective ERP that is realistic and workable is not that easy for many operators. A comprehensive Emergency Response Plan is vital for effectively managing potential crises. The plan should address:

  • Identification of potential emergency scenarios (e.g., fires, oil spills, severe weather)
  • Clear chain of command and responsibilities
  • Emergency communication protocols
  • Evacuation procedures and assembly points
  • Coordination with local emergency services
  • Regular drills and simulations to test and improve the plan
